As you all know, we made it to Beijing, really without any complications. I know Brian didn't mention anything in his post about me not feeling well. Yesterday, Mom W and I stayed back at the hotel while the boys and Brian went with the group to tour the city.
I suffer from motion sickness, so I decided before boarding the plane in Seattle that I would apply the "patch" from my Dr. Worked like a charm. I was able to relax and even sleep several hours on the plane between Seattle and Korea. By the time we landed in China, got our luggage and made it to our hotel room everyone was so beat tired. I decided to take the patch off as it created such horrible dry mouth - who would have know that I wasn't supposed to do that ~ ME!!!
I woke up yesterday not feeling well. I had trouble seeing out of my left eye! It's a funny thing when one of your eyes are dilated and the other isn't. Makes things a little bit cloudy, milky, blurry. Not to mention the nausea and dizziness. Bottom line (after reading the drug informational sheet in the box), I was having withdrawal symptoms of having taken the patch off too early. Who Knew (NOT ME!).
All in all I am feeling better today. It's our "Great Wall" day which thankfully I will be able to go with the family. Our guides Helen and Yan are awesome. The boys are having fun learning Chinese words from Yan. The boys' are determined to teach him one of the slang words they use back home ("Owned") so we'll see how that goes today.
We'll post later on today once we get back with pictures of our trip. We head out early tomorrow morning for Chongqing. Only 2 more days until we meet our sweet baby girl. We are all so excited for that.

Like everyone else, I am so glad that you are doing better. Ah, the things you learn. I never would have known about the patch withdrawal unless someone else told me ... and then I'd probably forget.
Can't wait to hear about you meeting Abigail!
Glad you guys are in China safe and sound! Sorry to hear about you not feeling better Ruth. Hopefully it will be over soon.
